Kuwaits Wataniya Wins Contract For Algerian Mobile Network
The Algerian Government decided at a cabinet meeting earlier this month to award Kuwaits mobile company, Wataniya Telecom, the contract to operate Algerias third mobile network. The award was confirmed by Wataniyas Deputy Managing Director, Ahmad Dahdari, from Algiers. Mr Dahdari said that the deal is worth $421mn and that his company hopes to have some 500,000 subscribers in 2004 in Algeria....
