Iraqs Defense And Security Budget Set At $2.25Bn In 2004
The Iraqi Governing Council (GC) has set a defense and security budget for 2004 of $2.25bn, according to a report in the Iraqi daily Baghdad of 6 April. The figure includes allocations for army and civil defense training, equipment, and armaments, and represents a large share (17%) of the $13.4bn earmarked for total 2004 spending in the CPAs 2004-06 budget document (MEES, 20 October 2003)....
