Oman Takes Delivery Of Muscat LNG Carrier
The Omani Government on 29 April took formal delivery at Sur of a new LNG carrier, Muscat LNG. The 145,000 cu ms capacity vessel was built by Japans Mitsui at a cost of $170mn. It was supplied under a contract with Omans Oasis Company for LNG Shipment, in which the Muscat government has a 75% stake, with 20% held by Mitsui K Lines and 5% by Mitsui Trading Company.
