Doosan Wins Sabiya Desalination Contract In Kuwait
South Koreas Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction announced on 10 May that it had been awarded a $373mn contract to build a water desalination plant at Sabiya in northern Kuwait. The plant will have the capacity to produce about 227,000 tons/day (50mn gallons/day) of clean water. Construction, on a turnkey basis, is scheduled for completion in January 2007.
