Libya has again extended the deadline for the US to ease remaining unilateral sanctions against the country and drop it from the list of state sponsors of terrorism. The US government now has until 22 September to take both steps or the Libyan authorities will cut the compensation pay-outs to the families of the victims of the Lockerbie bombing.
