Central Bank Of Iraq Extends Foreign Banks Operating Deadline
The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) has awarded an extension of the 31 December deadline to the three foreign banks which were awarded licenses to set up operations in Iraq, MEES understands. Standard Chartered had announced in November that it had received an extension of the deadline until 31 March 2005, but the extension also applies to HSBC and National Bank of Kuwait...
