US To Equip And Finance Georgias BTC/SCP Security Battalion
The US will train and equip a 400 strong battalion of the Georgian army for the purpose of providing security along the Georgian sections of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) crude pipeline and the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP), according to the president of the Georgian International Oil Corporation (GIOC), Georgy Chanturia.
