China Crude Imports Average 1.39Mn B/D During 2002
Chinas crude imports averaged 1.39mn b/d during 2002, an increase of 15% from the 2001 average of 1.2mn b/d. Chinas foreign crude imports hit a peak in 2000 when they averaged 1.4mn b/d. During 2002, imports from the Middle East and Arab countries averaged 816,000 b/d, with most coming from Saudi Arabia and Iran.
