Qadhafi Batters Oil Infrastructure, Sanctions Net Tightens
Forces loyal to Libyan leader Col Mu'ammar al-Qadhafi have bombed oil ports and infrastructure being held by rebels. As MEES went to press, some minor production was continuing but virtually all Libyan crude exports appeared to have ground to a halt. Battles have raged round key oil ports such as Sider and Zawiya as the country descends into civil war.
