Profits Continue To Climb At Qatar National Bank
Qatar National Bank (QNB) continued to post good results in 2002 as the Qatari economy stayed robust, with profits climbing to QR580.2mn ($159.4mn) compared to QR527.3mn ($144.9mn) in 2001. The bank, which accounts for around 65% of the profit from the countrys six national banks (MEES, 22 July 2002), saw assets rise to QR31,055.9mn ($8,531.9mn) in 2002 versus QR28,390.7mn ($7,799.6mn) in the previous year.
