QP/ExxonMobil Launch $1.1Bn North Field Gas/Condensate Development Joint Venture

Qatar Petroleum (QP) and ExxonMobil on 27 March launched the first phase of a joint venture, with investment exceeding $1.1bn, known as Al-Khaleej-1 (AKG-1) which will produce natural gas from the offshore North Field, recover associated condensate and NGLs for sale, and market 1.75bn cu ft/day of pipeline gas for domestic and export customers.
