BG Starts Gas Deliveries From Offshore Scarab, Saffron Fields

BG Group and its partners announced on 31 March that it had started delivery of first gas from the Scarab and Saffron fields to the Egyptian domestic market on 29 March. The Scarab-Saffron development is in the BG-operated West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) concession, located 120km north of Alexandria and is the largest gas field development in Egypt offshore the Nile Delta (MEES, 3 June 2002).
