Kazakstan, Chinese Partners Inaugurate Kenkiyak-Atyrau Crude Pipeline
Kazakstans state-owned oil and gas company KazMunaiGaz and the China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) inaugurated the 450km Kenkiyak-Atyrau crude pipeline on 28 March. Work on the $160mn pipeline began last August with construction carried out by the Russian company Stroitransgaz and the Kazak subcontractor Kazstroiservis (MEES, 2 September 2002).
