Plans For Iraqs Rebuilding Hinge On UN Role
Political wrangling over how to handle Iraqs foreign debt and rebuild the countrys infrastructure is becoming almost as contentious as the US-led war against Iraq itself and as a result a clear timetable of action has yet to emerge. However, there is growing consensus on some of the initial steps (aside from the pressing issue of transfer of emergency aid) that need to be taken in order to rehabilitate the country....
