Sheibany Appointed CBI Governor
The Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Tahmasb Mazaheri, has reportedly appointed Ibrahim Sheibany governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) to replace the previous governor Mohsen Nourbakhsh, who died from a heart attack in March (MEES, 31 March).
