'Abd al-Latif Jouahri Appointed Head Of Moroccan Central Bank
Moroccos King Muhammad VI has appointed 'Abd al-Latif Jouahri as governor of the Moroccan central bank, Bank al-Maghrib, replacing Muhammad Seqat who has held the post since 1989. Jouahri is an insurance expert whose previous posts have included heading the countrys main pension fund CIMR, managing insurance firm al-Wataniya, and holding key portfolios at BMCE bank and at the finance ministry.
