Egyptian Consortium Wins Contract To Link Libya To Regional High Voltage Network
A consortium of three Egyptian companies (Elegect, Hidelco and Kahromica) has won a $95mn contract to linkLibya to the 400kv regional network. This involves joining Libya with Egypt to the east and through it to other states in the eastern Arab world, and with Tunisia and the North African network (linking up with Europe) to the west.
