US Giving Jordan $700Mn In Compensation For Iraq War
The US is giving Jordan $700mn to help it offset the economic dislocation it faces due to the US-led war against Iraq, the US Secretary of State Colin Powell announced on 13 May as he signed a document transferring the funds to Basim 'Awad Allah, the Jordanian minister in charge of foreign aid.
