Key Posts Unchanged In New Government
President Ali Abd Allah Salih on 17 May reappointed 'Abd al-Qadir Ba Gammal as prime minister in a new government formed in the wake of parliamentary elections last month. While there are 17 new names in the 35-member cabinet, key appointments including that of Rashid Barba as Oil Minister remain unchanged. All the ministers in the government belong to the ruling General Peoples Congress.
