Nelson Resources Obtains $60Mn Loan For Kazak Oilfield Development
Canadas Nelson Resources announced on 24 June that it had acquired a loan of $60mn from BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA for KazakhOil Aktobe (KOA), the joint-venture oil company in which it is a 50% partner with Kazakstans state-owned KazMunaiGaz. The money will be used to fund KOAs 2003 development program in the Alibekmola and Kozhasai fields in northwestern Kazakstan, which are operated by KOA.
