Riyadhs Ninth Power Station Inaugurated
Crown Prince Abd Allah ibn Abd al-Aziz on 8 October inaugurated the ninth Riyadh power station (PP9) which has capacity to produce 1,380mw of electricity and is one of the biggest in the kingdom. The facility, comprising 16 gas-powered and four steam-powered units, was built at a cost of SR5.128bn ($1.367bn), and is located 55km east of Riyadh.
