US Senate Fails To Pass Energy Bill, Plans 2004 Attempt
The US Senate failed on 24 November to bring the Bush administration energy bill to a vote, thus delaying any further action on the legislation until 2004. The House of Representatives had earlier approved the bill by a vote of 246 to 180.
