Qatar Airways Increases Previous Aircraft Order By $1.2Bn
Qatar Airways has said that it will increase its fleet to 52 aircraft in the next five years and to 56 aircraft by 2011 and has recently extended its previous order to buy 34 Airbuses, worth $5.1bn placed at the Paris Air Show in June (MEES, 25 August), by $1.2bn. Its latest contract is worth $3bn and was signed with Airbus on 9 December and is for 14 aircraft including four firm orders...
