AlbaCommissions Coke Calcining Plant
AluminumBahrain (Alba) commissioned on 30 January a 450,000 tons/year petroleum cokecalcining plant, along with a desalination plant and a jetty. The $400mn plantwill meet Albas import coke requirements for aluminum smeltering, which werepreviously imported from the US and Argentina, and provide an additional225,000 t/y which will be exported.
