IranPlans Geothermal Power Plant
Iran plans to build its first geothermal plant in an extinctvolcanic area of the SabalanMountains in Ardebil province, according to Deputy Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian. Mr Chitchian was quoted byofficial news agency IRNA on 11 April as saying that the plant would bebuilt at Meshkinshahr, with capacity to generate100mw of electric power.
