AFESD Lends Egypt$53MnFor Gas Pipeline To Jordan
The Arab Fund forEconomic and Social Development (AFESD) on 21 April extended a KD17mn ($52.7mn)loan to Egypts state-owned Orient Gas Company to part-finance the constructionof a natural gas pipeline to Jordan. The facility carries a tenor of 20 years,a grace period of three years and an annual interest rate of 3%. The latestloan brings AFESDs total lending to Egyptto KD523.5mn ($1.6bn).
