Dubai Cuts Deficit In 2011 Budget
After making progress on dealing with its huge debt pile, the Dubai governments 2011 budget adopts a slightly more cautious approach to public spending, and plans to trim the deficit to Dh3.8bn ($1bn) from the previous years Dh6bn ($1.63bn). This is being accomplished through a cut in spending, which is down from 2010 and 2009, although still significantly higher than the level seen in 2008.
