Bush Nominates Abraham As His Energy Secretary

US President-elect George Bush on 2 January nominated Senator Spencer Abraham (R-Mich) as his Energy Secretary. Sen Abraham, aged 48 and the son of Lebanese immigrants, graduated from Michigan State University (MSU) in 1974 before getting a law degree from the Harvard Law School.
