Tunisian President Appoints New Central Bank Governor
Muhammad Ali Daouas has been appointed as the Governor of the Tunisian Central Bank (CBT), replacing Muhammad Beji Hamda, according to a presidential statement on 23 January. Mr Daouas was Deputy Governor of the CBT for three years prior to his new appointment. On the same day the president also carried out a major cabinet reshuffle, replacing 19 ministers and increasing the number of junior ministers...
