Iran Announces Giant Offshore OilDiscovery
The National Iranian Oil Company(NIOC) has announced a giant oil discovery in the Gulf off Abadan, which isthought to be comparable in size to the recent Azadegan discovery that hasestimated oil in place of 26bn barrels and recoverable reserves of 5-6bnbarrels.
