Algerias Foreign Debt Falls To $25.26Bn In 2000
Algerias outstanding total foreign debt fell from $28.32bn at the end of 1999 to $25.26bn in 2000, the lowest level for 10 years, according to the Central Bank of Algeria (CBA) on 8 February. A statement from the CBA said the countrys financial conditions improved last year as foreign debt servicing fell from $5.12bn in 1999 to $4.5bn, bringing it to 22% of GDP in 2000 compared to 39% the previous year....
