Saudi Arabia Extends $45Mn To Lebanon To Upgrade Beirut-Damascus Highway
The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) announced on 8 March a $45mn loan to Lebanon to upgrade a stretch of the highway between Beirut and Damascus.The soft loan will finance 85% of the civil works for a 15.5km three-lane highway from Dahr al-Baydar to the town of Chtura in the Biqa' Valley.
