EIA Projects 4% Drop In OPEC Oil Export Revenues For 2001
According to the latest report by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), oil export revenues for OPEC member countries in the year 2001 are likely to be lower than in 2000, when they rose by 71% to $224.7bn (see Table 1). The EIA projects a 4% drop from the 2000 level to around $216bn, but points out that even at this level, they would still be "hovering near the highest (in real terms) levels...
