KPC Signs Term Crude Deals With China
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) on 9 April signed a term purchase deal with Chinas United International Petroleum and Chemicals Company (Unipec) for the supply of 7.3mn barrels (20,278 b/d) of crude during 2001, a 192% rise over the previous years total of 2.5mn barrels (7,000 b/d). The two companies started negotiations with a volume of 3.9mn barrels (11,000 b/d) in mind, but agreed on the higher figure to meet China...
