Egypts External Debt Fell By $1.5Bn In 2000

Egypts Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Ahmad al-Darsh, announced on 31 March that the countrys external debt had fallen by $1.5bn last year and reaffirmed the governments commitment to freezing the accumulation of external debt, according to the daily Asharq al-Awsat.
