National Bank Of Bahrain Records 19% Rise In 1Q Profits
The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) announced on 11 April that it had recorded net income in the first quarter of 2001 of BD6.49mn ($17.2mn), compared to BD5.45mn ($14.5mn) for 1Q 2000. The bank also registered a 14.4% rise in its lending portfolio from BD359.97mn ($954.8mn) as at 31 March 2000 to BD411.92mn ($1,095.5mn), and a 9% rise in customer deposits for the same period.
