KNPCs Shu'ayba Refinery To Close For 40 Days For Repairs
Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) announced on 23 April that its 200,000 b/d Mina al-Shu'ayba oil refinery would be closed from 28 April for 40 days for general repairs. Two people were killed in an explosion at the refinery last June (MEES, 26 June 2000), but output was unaffected, and a KNPC official said the shutdown for repairs was routine and happened every five years the last occasion...
