Non-OPEC Producers Provided 60% Of Global Output In 2000 Says EIA
The Energy Information Administration (EIA) of the US Department of Energy says that non-OPEC countries produced 60% of the worlds oil in 2000. In the May 2001 edition of its Non-OPEC Fact Sheet, the EIA says that, of the top 10 oil producers last year, only three were OPEC members: Saudi Arabia, Iran and Venezuela (see Table below).
