UAE Invokes IMO Blacklist, Says US Navy Bears Responsibility For Zainab Oil Spill
The UAE has announced that it will invoke an International Maritime Organization (IMO) blacklist and ban ships bearing certain flags from entering its territorial waters. The move follows the sinking last month of the Georgian-registered Zainab, which spilled 300 tons of fuel oil in the sea when it sank off the coast of Dubai, threatening the emirates shoreline (MEES, 30 April)....
