ABC Reports 1Q Profit Rise Of 10% And Names New CEO For German Subsidiary
Bahrain-based Arab Banking Corporation (ABC) announced on 24 May that it had achieved 1Q profits for 2001 of $36.3mn, a rise of 10% over 1Q 2000 results of $33mn. In a statement, ABC said that the total consolidated assets of the ABC Group had also risen by 5.3% to $26bn at end-March, but that the total had contracted in comparison to the end-2000 figure of $26.7bn.
