NIORDC Privatization Planned, ButFaces Practical Hurdles
The National Iranian Oil Refiningand Distribution Company (NIORDC) is expected to be privatized by the end of Iran痴Third Economic Development Plan (2000-2005), according to NIORDC OperationsDirector Ali Farahani. The Iran Daily of 27 September quoted Mr Farahanias saying that all NIORDC functions apart from the maintenance of strategicreserves would be transferred to the private sector.
