Gazprom And E.ON Score Exploration Successes With Sonatrach
Both Russian state gas firm Gazprom and German utility E.ON Ruhrgas have announced gas discoveries in Algeria this month. While neither discovery appeared major, the announcements send a message to investors that Algerias upstream still holds attractions at a time when hydrocarbon regulator al-Naft is launching a make-or-break upstream bidding round.
