EU Sets Deadline For Mandatory UseOf Low-Sulfur Fuels
The European Union (EU) has ruledthat from 1 January 2009, all gasoline used in EU member states will be requiredto have a sulfur content of less than 10 parts per million (ppm). The EU saidit envisaged that diesel fuel with a sulfur content of less than 10 ppm wouldalso become mandatory from that date, although this would be confirmed followinga review to be completed no later than 31 December...
