Turkish Forecasts 127Bn KWH Power Demand In 2000
Turkeys demand for electricity in 2000 will total 126.8bn kilowatt hours (kwh), according to Muzaffer Selvi, Director-General of the Turkish Electricity Authority (TEAS). Domestic production during the year will total 124.2bn kwh, and the 2.6bn kwh shortfall will be covered by imports from neighboring Bulgaria, Georgia and Iran.
