Wood Mackenzie Expects North Sea Production To Rise Slightly This Year
Northwest Europes crude oil production is expected to reach a new annual average peak of 6.46mn b/d in 2000, according to Wood Mackenzie Consultants. Yet the regions total output will increase by only 307,000 b/d over the 1999 average, says the analyst, as production from new fields is almost cancelled out by declining output in the regions aging giant fields.
