Lebanons Central Bank Authorizes Subsidized Loan Project
The Central Bank of Lebanon has approved a project which will allow commercial banks in Lebanon to start offering subsidized soft loans to the industrial, tourist and agricultural sectors. According to the Daily Star on 19 February, a circular issued to banks said the duration of loans should be between five and seven years and at least 15% of the amount borrowed must be repaid in the first two years....
