More Mixed Arab Bank Results
Arab banks continue to report more diverse performances than the consistently healthy profits released at the beginning of the year, notably by Saudi Arabian and Bahraini financial institutions (see MEES, 24 January and 31 January). All four Omani banks listed below reported a downturn in profitability, which is largely attributed to increased provisioning costs as a result of new rulings issued by the Central Bank of Oman...
