UAE Records 10% GDP Rise In 1999
The UAE has reported a 10% increase in its GDP for the year 1999 to $51.77bn from $47.14bn the year before, according to a report published by the UAE Central Bank on 5 June. The report attributed the economic growth which led to a 3.9% rise in per capita GDP income to $17,657 to the rise in oil prices and said that oil income in 1999 rose to $13.26bn.
