MEES learns that the Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO) is to go ahead with a $550mn QAFCO-4 expansion project. The fourth complex, to be built adjacent to the existing ones at Messaieed, will have a capacity of around 2,400 tons/day of ammonia and 3,200 t/d of urea, although the figures are still under study and could be expanded.
