Construction Of Five Turkish Power Plants To Begin
Financing for five power plants in Turkey is to be arranged by the end of July and construction should begin this summer. The financing packages for the build-own-operate (BOO) projects, contracts for which were awarded by the Turkish Energy Ministry in 1997, are worth more than $3bn. The project will generate 40bn kwh from plants with a total capacity of 5,740mw.
